Soaring Spelltome – In the forgotten depths of the Dalaran library, this oversized tome was found flapping madly around the room. Wandering Ancient – Not all ancients are interested in war or lore, some just want to travel the world! A large and leafy mount, the Wandering Ancient invites you to climb aboard and grab ahold of its branches as you embark on a lumbering expedition. Now it’s time for your part-pick your favorite from the poll linked above and below the highest number of votes internationally will be crowned the winning choice and our artists will begin working on making your choice a reality. Our artists have kicked things off by coming up with concepts for five unique mounts for you to choose between. The last place Nerubian Swarmer may have been a bit too creepy for some fan's tastes, although many players believed the Nerubians were underutilized in Wrath of the Lich King, and it could be really fun to find a secret sect of them operating in the Shadowlands. Meanwhile, the second place Curious Caterpillar was honored with a seat on the Wandering Ancient, though it was nearly tied with the Gooey Slimesaber for second place and both could fit really well into Ardenweald or Maldraxxus respectively. Although we never got to see it, we know that Blizzard made internal concept art for each, so it's not a stretch to imagine that they've continued to work on the four runner-ups, and even though Soaring Spelltome only came in fourth place in the competition, it fits very well with the Mage Tower from a thematic point of view.

MAGE TOWER 9.1.5 REWARDS PATCH

The Shadowlands Mount contestants were all very well received and the addition of the Soaring Spelltome in Patch 9.1.5 raises the question of whether all five might actually get added to the game at some point. Players who complete all seven of the Challenges on different characters across their account will be rewarded with a unique flying mount: the Soaring Spelltome! There’s also a new Achievement coming in 9.1.5 for the most well-rounded champions of the Kirin Tor.

While the Challenges were considered quite difficult for most of Legion, we’re tuning the encounters in Timewalking to normalize player power, with the intention of providing a meaningful level of difficulty to current players.

MAGE TOWER 9.1.5 REWARDS SERIES

The original seven different Challenges (grouped by your specialization’s role) will be available to try repeatedly, for the duration of Legion Timewalking:Įach Challenge comprises a series of solo encounters that must be completely survived to earn rewards, and in Legion Timewalking, they will not require that you have an Artifact, or even that you originally played Legion. I know that the old guides aren’t the best way to give a review because of the class changes and the new tuning that blizzard is doing, but unless they add new mechanics there aren’t really so much to worry about, i’m not saying i will beat every challenge at first try but once i think after two weeks of playing 9.1.In Legion Timewalking, the Mage Tower will operate similarly to how it did during Legion. So it’s just about memory, and maybe making it work with the new class spells The covenant signature abilities are something that didn’t exist back then and are something that i don’t know how blizzard is going to tune this around,īecause they’re available to everybody, personally i do think that they should be disabledĪnother reason is because guides are already out, just like classic, this dramatically reduces the difficulty, there are people who already did it before This time it’s a random calendar event and only lasts a week so it won’t be overtuned, things will be tuned for this patch Some of them required you to have a specific legendary and well, all leggos are available now especially because you can just spam torghast and get your leggo Of course, this still depends on your gear in 9.1.5 but i’ve seen people beat the challenges at 900ish ilevel so that’s like 233 nowadays, but these are good players. I didn’t really do the mage tower back in legion but i watched a few guides and correct me if i’m wrong but a lot of people couldn’t do them because they didn’t have the gear, but then were able to do it Hard is something mechanically difficult but overtuned is something that’s about numbers, like a boss that has too much health or does much more damage than it should be doing I make the difference between hard and overtuned,
